Hi, I’m Andrea! Here’s a little bit about myself…

With a background in the performing arts, I decided to embark on a different path which allowed me to further tap into my artistic/creative side and fully indulge in my passion for all things interior.  My own personal design style is ‘low-key luxury, rustic yet refined, classic yet contemporary, old world charm meets modern flair’. But I’m able to share my extensive skills and 14 years of industry experience to help my clients create homely, comfortable spaces that reflect their own lifestyle and persona, no matter what design style that may be.

I’ve always had a good eye, and much of my inspiration stems from living in Duesseldorf, London and Antwerp as well as extensive travel to cities that are home to some of the greatest art and architecture in the world… Florence, Barcelona, and Amsterdam to name but a few. On my return to Sydney, I worked on various projects with property developers in NSW & QLD to transform empty display apartments into gorgeous and functional living spaces. I then decided to take my passion to the next level and returned to study at the Sydney Design School and subsequently launched Andrea J Interiors, aka AJI, in 2011.  

I’m all about making the experience for my clients easy and enjoyable and many are surprised to find themselves converted to interior aficionados by the end of the design experience. My excitement over finding the most ‘scrumptious‘ tile or ‘to-die-for light fitting does rub off and I get inspired by my clients’ growing enthusiasm and confidence to make the right design choices throughout the process. Together we can create homes and spaces to love for years to come.

Our design process for a smooth journey

Step 1: Initial Consultation and Proposal

We’ll discuss your project in detail to get a thorough brief for the scope of the work. This meeting may include a walk-through of your space and/or review of floor plans, as well as sharing any inspiration images you may have. You’ll receive a customised proposal following the meeting.

Step 2: Concept Development

Once the scope of the work is agreed, we will develop some initial concepts, plan the space of the rooms and research materials and products. You’ll be presented with digital visual schemes of our recommendations, which will include samples form suppliers and recommended selections on various materials, finishes and/or furniture.

Step 3: Cost Specification

Based on our design decisions, we’ll provide you with quotes at trade pricing together with stock availability and lead times from suppliers. All trade discounts will be passed on in full, saving you 45% off RRP on average.

Step 4: Product Ordering

Once the design concepts are finalised and approved , we’ll liaise with suppliers and trades on schedules and specifications, and manage the order processing right through to delivery to you.
